Christina Lee has been practicing and teaching Yoga in the Uniontown, Pennsylvania area for 10 years,
holding her Yoga Alliance Instructor Certification as a Hatha instructor in the Raja tradition. Christina "Tina" is
also licensed to teach Zumba Fitness. She uses her background in the fine arts, dance, and fitness, which
she has taught for over 20 years in the region, in addition to her extensive performing arts experience and arts
administration knowledge, to develop unique programs with a wide range of content. From ‘Power’ to
restorative yoga, reflective and meditative to challenging and stimulating classes, always with an emphasis on
individualized goals and attention to participants’ desires and abilities.
Christina’s classes welcome students from all walks of life, some of whom have attended her classes for
more than 9 years. She’s developed fitness programs for the Community College of Allegheny County, the
Uniontown Hospital, and the Hopwood Fitness Center. She has directed, (and been involved on many levels –
from instructing and performing, to promotion and administration) dance programs and companies, including
for a non-profit arts center and for privately-owned venues, as well as children’s programming at California
University of Pennsylvania and Touchstone Center for Crafts where she also held early morning stretch
classes. Christina has designed personalized plans for a variety of people with specific goals such as
athletes - in - training, those recovering from injury or illness, and those who simply desire even more
individualized instruction.
Specialized programming designed by Christina includes those in her Mountain Arts Company repertoire, and
the newly-formed ‘Yoga-Arts division’, offering many forms of relaxation and rejuvenation. ‘ Stretch of the
Imagination’, blends movement and relaxation with related visual arts, literary, theatrical, and/or nature-based
activities. Community outreach program, ‘The Arts Project’ - Creative Expression Therapy, and children’s yoga
workshop, ‘TADA - sana!’ are among the other unique options Lee offers to a wide variety of participants.
Christina’s classes are adaptable, fun, ‘flexible’, and can be tailored to fit virtually any fitness or creative desire.
She hopes to continue to expand her knowledge and skills of yoga and related subjects and to share them
with the community, because Christina believes that “everyone can benefit from experiencing the arts, and
enhancing awareness of their unique creativity, and the positivity that lies within us all.” She adds that, “the
world would be a better place if we all made art and did more yoga.”
