February 2nd, 2008- Winter Fest at Ohiopyle. Click here to see last years Photos Come out and give cross country skiing and snowshoeing a try. Bring your sleds and ice skates and items for the children's snowman building contest. Cozy up on a horse drawn sleigh ride or sit by the fire and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Watch expert ice carvers demonstrate their skills. Donations will be asked to support the event and the Friends of Ohiopyle. Contact the park office with questions by email or 724-329-8591.

Time: Saturday 10:00 a.m. - dusk, Sunday 12-5 Location: Ohiopyle State Park, Ohiopyle, PA - Ohiopyle State Park is known as the Gateway to the Laurel Highlands. With over 1.5 million annual visitors, it is one of Pennsylvania's most visited parks. The venue for Music In The Mountains is the town of Ohiopyle and the spectacular Falls Area. Viewing platforms overlook an 18-foot waterfall on the Youghiogheny River, which is lighted the nights of the festival. Fireworks will be held at dusk on Saturday. Live music, crafters and various activities will be held throughout the two days.
